Suggestions of Songs for Dances with Parents
We are frequently asked if we have any suggestions for songs that would be appropriate to play for the Bride's dance with her father or the Groom's dance with his mother. Many of the songs listed below would be appropriate if you will be dancing with someone other than a parent. We would encourage you to make these dances as special and as personal as you would like. Actually, any song that you feel comfortable with would be appropriate. However, if you would like some ideas, here are just a few:

none of these seems appropriate, some other options are: a nice waltz, a foxtrot,
an old ballad or perhaps even something from the big-band era (e.g., Moonlight
Serenade, etc.), a swing, jitterbug, cha-cha, etc. It can even be a fast song
if there is one that you would like. Is there a special song that is meaningful
in your family? Be creative. This will be your time with your parent(s) or other
important person in your life - make it special.
